Our approach helps organizations build financial capacity and independence by turning institutional knowledge into new programs and social enterprise offerings, strengthen team resilience through structured creative collaboration, and deepen community trust by co-designing programs and strategies with the people they serve, not for them.
Non-profit organizations are today’s greatest innovators. In my experience, they have innate understanding of how to balance risks against the benefits of new programs and strategies as they continually centre the needs of the communities they serve and the partners they collaborate with, but they don’t have the luxury of corporate budgets.
I opened up my own shop to bring an outside perspective that sees your organization for its strengths, respects its institutional knowledge, and translates that power into greater independence and impact through a lens of human-centred design, systems thinking, and venture-building experience, providing insights and guidance often reserved for those with corporate budgets and profit motives.

I’m Laura
I’m a facilitator, researcher, coach, and innovation consultant with more than a decade of experience working with public and private sector teams, nonprofits, and communities with lived experience. Together we build the skills, mindsets, and resilience needed to navigate complexity and shape more just, inclusive futures.
Grounded in human-centered design, equity-centred approaches, trauma-informed practice, and using innovation methodologies like Design Thinking, Lean Startup, and Participatory Design, I support people and organizations as they uncover painful problems, imagine solutions, and build what’s next.
My consulting work includes community engagement, co-design, strategic planning, corporate innovation, and venture building—mobilizing human-centered design to create products, services, and solutions that are grounded in real needs and lived realities. Drawing on my practice as a coach, I help teams surface and build on their own institutional, cultural, and sector knowledge, aligning their insights with the creative tools and frameworks needed to develop strategies that move them toward their goals.
Whether supporting teams through change, facilitating meaningful dialogue, or designing alongside communities, I create spaces where people feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to take risks, and resourced enough to imagine what’s possible.
