PROJECTS & PRODUCTS
Over the past few years I've had the pleasure of leading and collaborating on a number of digital projects and products as a designer, facilitator and a strategist. Throughout, I've taken advantage of deep market research and service, experience and human-centred design methodologies.
Lolo & Artie is an online concept store that showcases modern handmade clothing, decor and accessories made by Canadian maker mamas for toddlers and babies. The design process for the branding, product offering and concept of the shop included market, user and supplier research. This highlighted multiple user segments that could be served by the business, it's website, a local pop-up presence and social media profile.
PawzMonitor was developed as a result of personal experience and refined based on user and market research. As part of a multidisciplinary team we engaged created and tested multiple prototypes using iterative learning and user testing to achieve a final product that made use of video monitoring, GPS location tracking and RFID technology to monitor and deliver pet updates in line with consumer needs.
They say it takes a village to raise a child but modern life often means that family and friends are busy or don’t live close enough to provide the support that new parents and their children need to thrive. That’s where A Village comes in.
Create & Grow Strong is a creative technology workshop I designed and developed to serve youth in at risk situations. The foundation of my thesis research, the eight week program uses co-creation, group discussion, multimedia art and basic coding to give voice to the concerns of youth within their community.
